so is there any way we could use a cheat to revert byleth back to his original english VA?

i like it way more than the replacement. regardless of your feelings towards him, you have to admit he did a pretty good job voicing the character. the new one just seems too young IMO. his voice is still on the cart so there must be a way to do this.

I strongly doubt you could do that, and definitely no way of accomplishing it through cheat code. You will have to go replace the new audio tracks with the old ones, and I can't see why anyone would go through so much trouble (if it can even be done) for such a silly reason since you barely hear Byleth talk at all and the changes are not all that drastic.

i mean you aren't wrong that we barely hear him, but is it really that much more effort than and standard undub? in fact it would be less work because you would only need to do it for one character rather than the whole cast. if i had the tools to do it myself, i would. if you might be able to point me in the right direction on how to make mods, i would very much appreciate it.

I really don't think you should attempt at doing this yourself unless you have experience (I don't) and very comfortable with tinkering the game's files (I'm not) which you need specific tools you can find online to extract and open. And this is assuming that the old VA's audio tracks are still found within the game files, rather than completely removed and replaced or overwritten by the new VA's lines. You also need to hope that Byleth has individual audio file that can be easily replaced rather than a bunch of characters' audio files being bundled together into one file.

What I'm trying to say that this would involve A LOT of work requiring expertise in modding/hacking games, and all effort this for what I personally see as an extremely frivolous cause (I probably wouldn't even have noticed that Byleth's VA changed lol without reading about it). So yeah, if you're gonna try it, I would recommend asking some pros such as those on the FETH modding discord who are much more familiar with tinkering with the files.

thanks for the advice. i am already pretty comfortable with tinkering with my switch and i have loads of backups so that is no worry for me. i figure i will just be able to make my own layeredfs mod to swap the files i just don't know the proper structure. do you happen to have an invite for the discord you mentioned?

Do you know if someone on 91wii has made a code for allowing classes to use magic? On another thread on this site, there's a code for allowing Falcon Knights to use magic

No cheat for Activity points?
I enable "No decrease in Pts" and "Bonding/Teaching/Battle Active Points" but activity points are not freezing. "No decrease in Pts" only cause mini map zoom to max.

Looks like Atmosphere has finally been updated to support 9.0.0. Guess that means DLC Pack 2 will be available for people to test out.

On page 103 is a cheat file with updated 1.02 cheats for now but some dont work well and if i were u i would w8 and dont update to 9.0.
evrything works on 8.10 anyways for me.
We just need the updated NEW DLC to be uploaded now and some cheats reworked/updated but lot of ppl moved on new games.

Yes. I think so. That’s when I had the option of installing DLC when I was on 9.0

People were able to get 1.0.2 because they can get updates locally without an Internet connection. However, the same can't be done with DLC, which is why 9.0.0 is needed to download it. Also, from what I have heard, Nintendo made it so the DLC only works on 9.0.0 now (that's why the issue with people not being able to load the game with last weekend if they downloaded the DLC during that time happened).
