Hacking Fire Emblem 3DS XL 7.0.0-13E Firmware

Hi guys and girls, I've just acquired a 3ds XL off one of the lovely forum members here (Thanks eyes) and got a gateway to go along with it as well as a 32gb micro sd, but not very clued up on the scene at the moment, like everyone I want to play games on this thing.

I did download a copy of cubic ninja as well but was wondering if someone a little more clue full was in my situation what would you do

Best thing you can do is to install rxtools + emunand, use sysupdater in rxTools DEV MODE to update your 3DS' system nand to 9.2 and set up autoboot CFW, Gateway is just a waste of money at this point, follow this guide to the step to set up rxTools:

Can I use a downloaded copy of cubic ninja to get the ball rolling on that one, do I need a game?

Also, if and when i've done that can I run game off an internal sd card and can they be in 3ds format or do i need to convert them to cia

No game is needed to install rxTools, Cubic Ninja was needed when rxTools didn't have cia support.

and how about the 3ds rom files i already have, will rx tools run them

CFW only run cia installed games, roms aren't supported, so you can convert them or use the gateway card.
