I have to do 25 hours of community service each year for the next for years of my high school career to pass "religion", or any class for that matter. I mean, what the hell!?

Should I transfer schools? Theres no way I can give 3 hours of service, let alone 25.

I racked up over 500 hours by volunteering at a Karate studio back in High School.

I don't have to do any outside school work (apart from a bit of studying/homework *that I usually borrow from someone else with too much free time*), but I'd prefer to be able to choose like other schools here. Meaning having religion or "2 hours a week to do whatever you want/studying/drawing on your notebook".
Oh well, thats what I get for being in a catholic school.

I had to do 20 hours of community service a semester in public Junior High School back in California. It really wasn't that bad. 25 hours a year is nothing. That's half a weeks worth of work at a job spread over an entire year. I volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club, took honors classes, aced them all, did all my homework. You can totally do this.

Contribute to society a little. It won't kill you.

Like fake businesses that your friends "own" or volunteering at a place where you know the boss and having them tack on a few extra hrs.

My highschool rocks. I don't have to do any. Which is good, cause I have 3 ap classes. I probably won't even be able to play videogames ever with that much school work T_T

But the college credits...

I'm going to Stanford College hopefully. Gonna be a pimp ass lawyer, Phoenix Wright style!

That said, just find some place that is monotonos cleaning or something (highway cleanup?) and bring an Ipod. It'll go by fast.

I just started High School at a Christian school...I don't have to do any of that...I don't think

Well, I didn't know about doing any work until after I had my second religion class, but sure, I'll cry with you.

Almost every town has animal shelters/pounds. I had to 50 hours due to "legal matters" and I played with dogs 5 hours a week for 10 weeks. Check around. And if they want you on poop patrol tell them you are mildly allergic to animal feces.
