After releasing a benchmark that allows you to test how well Final Fantasy XV will run on your computer, Square Enix has now put out a demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy XV PC port. The demo will cover all of the first chapter of the game, letting players test-run the game prior to official release on March 6th. Completing the first chapter should take on average 2 hours to complete, although it should be noted that progress made in the demo will not carry over to the full release. The install size of the demo is about 20GB, and the minimum requirements to run it are listed below.

If you're interested in trying out the demo, and you have an Nvidia graphics card, be sure to grab the latest GeForce drivers, as those have been updated to include official support for FFXV. At the time of writing, the demo is only available on Origin and Windows Store, but a Steam release should follow up by the end of the day. If you want to force the Steam demo to download, you can run the following command on Windows steam://install/671210 which will add it to your download queue.

I hate to think on how big the full game will be.

Yeah, the game is bigger than some people realize. The consoles had a compressed version. On the PC it seems we'll get the full graphical experience.

We'll see. Wouldn't be surprised but Squenix does have a dedicated PC team.. I don't understand their choice to launch on 3 stores.

For a boring world full of petrol stations and PS2.5 graphics? 100 GB is too much if you ask me.
Loading screen is taking forever even on PS4 Pro, i guess it's just the developers don't know how to optimize the game, there are many games with bigger world and details and their size is 50GB max, look at Witcher 3 for example.

Witcher 3 is an all around well made game... But not as flashy... And in all honesty doesn't look as good as people make it sound..

@Chary Also the final game will have two versions. 100GB for 1080P and 155GB for FULL 4K textures, so yeah. If you DESPERATELY NEED TO HAVE 4K...

Also you forgot to mention some bonus stuff like the half life costume.
    Warning: Spoilers inside!

The only reason why I'm trying this demo is cause it was the demo I wish they had on the playstation store, Also it would help me to see if the benchmark was absolute rubbish.

Not as flat as Geralt. That's for sure. I digress.

4K "Textures" Not resolution, both versions will support 4K resolution screens. The game will have a optional version with better quality textures, not just higher resolution. Kinda like how sonic 4 episode 2 on Google play has two optional downloads, THD (Tegra High Definition) takes advantage of the Tegra 3 hardware in the device to improve quality with better looking game and higher framerates, optimized for enabled devices.
