And for those that want to know, everything is practically the same you can barely tell the difference between the 360 and PS3 version.

I don't understand what's the big deal about swapping discs. Are people really that lazy?
Also, I'm glad Squenix decided to make both versions identical. Even if the rumors about the downgrading of the visuals to run on the 360 were true, it wouldn't fuckin' matter. Nobody will give a shit because the game looks amazing regardless.

Even if the character designs are lame as hell and the story sounds "meh" so far, I know I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this game. BUT, here's hoping XV isn't done by the Production Team 1, and instead the XII team. GAWD, how awesome would that be?!

i wasn't complaining, i couldn't care less abot getting up and changing discs.

Just apprehensive a bit about the price tag [IMG]

I really thought that there were 3 versions or somat, like one with full detail, the other with less, and the third with cut out graphics and such.

Like somebody else said the more discs there are the more you get for your money so if I'm going to pay then get me the most discs they can preferably what Jumpman said.

SE said it's going to have the same quality as the PS3 counterpart so I wouldnt mind if it's 3 Disc or more. I rather not have it as 1 Disc if all I can see is a youtube-like video quality (320x240)

On second note, having to back it up will be a pain cause DVD-DL disc are hell expensive in my country

I wonder how 3 discs will work with the 360's install option.
If one were to install the first disc, would the process have to be repeated for the second and third in order to have a nearly silent gaming experience?
Or would all three discs install in sequence?

...Not that it matters, since I don't like traditional JRPGs at all.

Every final fantasy game I pulled apart past 7 has usually had most or all of the game able to fit on one disc and the rest being video (FF7 was especially notable for this). Hopefully they decided to just find someone who knows about video compression.

On the other hand there are usually so many copies sold that the second hand price six months on is probably about the price of the discs to burn it.

The FFIX has 4 disc and uses the save file to open the current or next disc. At the end of the game in disc 1, it will prompt you to save. you insert disc 2 and choose your saved file and it's like you inserted disc 1 again

i think if it were sony - 1 blue-ray disc
    blue-ray disc FTW
thats some massive game lol from FF... they're very famous for multiplying cds but i don't think it really gives any real proof that it was necessary like ff7,8 and 9 did not require so many discs but prob had to compensate for common data among the discs hence greater number of discs

you have a point there even tho im not one for final fantasy would be nice if you could install all 3 and just have one disk without having to get up.
it would shut up the lazy people.
