Huh, a sequel to FFXII? Wasn't FFXII with airships and stuff, and that Vaan guy?
Yeah, my brother has it
I think it's more a sequel to FFXI, that was a MMORPG, and this looks like one too.
I saw FFXII and I thought oh god no.
I hope it doesn't turn out to be a fail.
The tech demo doesn't look bad but its a tech demo so it could be nothing like the actual game.
fuck! i thought i read VII-2 for a second....
Didn't XII already have a sequel, Revenant Wings?
Yup... RW was the official canon sequel...
I am thinking this is an Expanded Universe type thing, another game within the original's universe. Like Unleashed and Rogue Squadren to Star Wars.
Another add-on to the world of Ivalice.
While its good Square Enix has one world they stick to, it gets boring after a while.
How the hell does XII get a sequel but the better ones do not. Maybe this will do everything right that XII did wrong, which means pretty much everything.
XII-haters are funny.
I actually liked Revanent Wings. And then I saw this article and I hated it with every single bit of will in my body.
Hey, this sorta looks like SE's attempt at somethin' like Demon's Souls.
If so, then
Without wanting to detract into a total flampocalypse... What didn't you like about XII so much?
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings=Final Fantasy XII-2
I mostly hated how they did the combat it just did not feel right, the story was quite bad never even could keep me playing for more than 30 minutes. I guess the combat is what made it horrible for me, I mean I love old school turnbased, but do still appreciate newer battle systems, I guess I was hoping for more of a Vagrant Story battle system since it was worked on by the same person or team can not remember them at the moment.
Looked kinda like Demon's Souls.
if this is offline i must buy it 0.o if it is online....then i walk away and never look at it again
XII was fake and gay
Hopefully this is a more refined version of FFXII than a minigame-esque spinoff. FFXII was an MMO for single-players, which is actually rather fun. It just became far too repetitive to warrant continuation unless you were a diehard fan.
I played virtually all of the available sidequests and then story missions... and couldn't bother finishing the game. It was like there wasn't any valid reason--it was all the same as the last thing. The game needed perfection and refinement.
