Final Fantasy VII Remake sells 3.5 million in 3 days

Following glowing reviews from critics across the globe, Square Enix Ltd., today announced that FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE shipments and digital sales exceeded over 3.5 million worldwide in 3 days following its April 10 release. The game has achieved exceptional digital sales which are continuing to increase.

Completely rebuilt using the best of modern gaming technology, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is a reimagining of the iconic original game that re-defined the RPG genre. Along with unforgettable characters and a story revered as one of the most powerful within video games, the game also features a hybrid battle system that merges real-time action with strategic, command-based combat. The first game in the project is set in the eclectic and sprawling city of Midgar and presents a fully standalone gaming experience that goes deeper into the iconic characters and world than ever before.

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE draws players into a world where the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation, controls the planet’s very life force. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to an underground resistance group calling themselves Avalanche as they fight against Shinra’s oppressive force.

Sick of replying to these comments also re multiple parts trying to cash in -just stupid immature comments - go play the game and then youl see why it's released in 2 or 3 parts - moan moan moan lol you don't deserve to play high quality games like this
If it is so evident as to why splitting up a game, and maybe padding out the remaining play, is not something of a middle finger to the game playing public at large please do take a paragraph or two to show why that is not the case here, and something useful happens as a result.

It will get you a lot further than insulting people and complaining about negativity.

You're the only person acting immature here. Nobody is saying it isn't a high-quality release. So was FF7 at the time, but guess what? Not a multi-part release. Neither were any of the other top-tier RPGs, then or now. In any case, I don't think you have to worry about Squeenix going out of business from a little constructive criticism.

Nice thread^_^
because staying at home make people bored, so its the right time to sell a video games:):sp:
Tell that to Naughty Dog

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Only 3.5 millions? I'm only going to say if this game was on the switch it would sell at least 10 millions what a waste.
Yeah maybe, but the Switch wouldn't run it

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

People aren't saying it's short, they're saying it was stupid to split it up into multiple parts, regardless of length. And on that point I'd agree. Remakes shouldn't be an excuse to make people buy the game multiple times.
If they remade the whole game like they did that first part now, it would have probably spanned 6 disc's and taken at least 70 hours to complete, if you're rushing

I'd say 4-5 discs. That's mostly on lack of texture/audio compression, I'd guess. And yeah, the original was considerably more than 70 hours if you wanted to do everything.

You can't compare sales as due to corona - and what I've read everyone has been saying it's had a great start and I'm sure sq are happy right now

I understand that this is a game on its own right and that you don't necessarily have to wait for all of them to release before playing. It's not like a telltale game or anything like that. That said I'm just going to close my eyes and plug my ears and play through some of my backlog before purchasing this game. Because it'll probably be on some super sale by then.

The codename of the project is TriNew and the codename of the game itself is End. the Tri in TriNew seems to denote there will be 3 releases, and this would be the first release

For those just starting out and finding the battles mayb to fast and can't predict enemy moves or to much going on at one time just start over the battles especially the bosses as youl learn much mor tht way and mor fun knowing what you need to do - even if you hav nearly defeated a boss but done it by using to many heal spells and potions just start over as youl find it mor satisfying by using a small ammount and killing it in a pro like way and of course always scan the enemy - but ther wil be times wher healing a lot of times is the only option

More easy tutorial : try every battle 1 or 2 times, if you can't then go grinding and get the best setup (includes everything) then try again obviously with a lot of healing and that's it... Very easy
