Final Fantasy VII 1080p port Available On PS4 Today, And On Sale!
Purchasing the game will also give you an exclusive PS4 theme with a custom background, music, and sound effects.
you also have to keep in mind the FInal Fantasy VII was so big of a game for the ps1 that it was spanned across 3 separate discs, and is an overall way bigger experience than Tekken 3, along with the fact that Tekken 3 is a port from an arcade game, it wasnt directly developed for the ps1, they didnt have to remake anything, they just sorta reworked it for the ps1. and then tell me this, compare the environments of Final Fantasy VII and Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VII wins by a huge amount in the aspect, along with the FMV cutscenes that looked absolutely stunning at the time in Final Fantasy VIII don't think so. I mean, look at these ridiculous looking character models and compare them with those from Tekken 1, also a PSOne game.

Night and day, right?
All what you said just doesn't change anything about that FF7 is a pretty bad looking game.you also have to keep in mind the FInal Fantasy VII was so big of a game for the ps1 that it was spanned across 3 separate discs, and is an overall way bigger experience than Tekken 3, along with the fact that Tekken 3 is a port from an arcade game, it wasnt directly developed for the ps1, they didnt have to remake anything, they just sorta reworked it for the ps1. and then tell me this, compare the environments of Final Fantasy VII and Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VII wins by a huge amount in the aspect, along with the FMV cutscenes that looked absolutely stunning at the time in Final Fantasy VII
yes but you were comparing it to an arcade game, if you compare Final Fantasy VII to any other ps1 game itll either look better or equal to it, no ps1 game holds up to day graphically, im not even sure why your expecting it to as none of them doAll what you said just doesn't change anything about that FF7 is a pretty bad looking game.
Your argument that Tekken 1 is an arcade game is an excuse. The screenshot was from the PS1 version, the very same console that runs FF7. Both games had the same specs available during development.yes but you were comparing it to an arcade game, if you compare Final Fantasy VII to any other ps1 game itll either look better or equal to it, no ps1 game holds up to day graphically, im not even sure why your expecting it to as none of them do

Now surely Dark Cloud wasn't an arcade game, was it?

You're right about FF7 looking like ass technically I guess. But Dark Cloud is a PS2 game.Your argument that Tekken 1 is an arcade game is an excuse. The whole game is actually on each disc; the three discs thing is from FMV. You bypass the FMV checks/disc checks (not sure if the standard spring trick would be enough to do it, not that I would advise that anyway) and you can play the whole game on any disc.you also have to keep in mind the FInal Fantasy VII was so big of a game for the ps1 that it was spanned across 3 separate discs
inever said it pushed the limits of the ps1, that was the other guy, i was merely saying it doesn't matter since graphically no ps1 game holds up today.and you really thought Dark Cloud was ps1? god XDOuch, my bad. Still, the statement that FF7 pushed the PSone to its limit is void.
In the mean time, I'm fine with the original PS1 version on my ps3 lmao.
Lol you'll be waiting an eternity then, because it won't happen.I'd rather wait the proper remake LMAO.
I don't care. My ps1 discs are perfectly working.Lol you'll be waiting an eternity then, because it won't happen.
Of course - this is a new port based on the PC version, not the emulated PS1 game.It looks like if you bought it for the ps3 you still have to buy it again for the ps4.
