Anyone heard any rumblings about any other FF remakes for DS in the future? I know about ff4 and ffta2 and that makes me hopeful for more. I'd like to see FF6 on the DS and putting 7 on there wouldnt be a huge stretch...

Whisperings, rumors, anything? Or is square really hush hush about this kinda thing?

FF5 is out in Japan later in the year.

I reckon 6 will follow and then 7,8,9 on the DS successor.

EDIT: Actually no FF5 hasn't been confirmed, was thinking of Dragon Quest.

Yes, FFVII is unlikely to be released, as it's very big game..But I think it's possible to port it..
Probably next gen. handheld would get FFVII...
However, FFV and FFVI are very likely to be ported on NDS..FFIII and FFIV were very well accepted, and there's no reason why next two wouldn't get released..

But there were no official news on remaking them...

You do know that most of the content on each disk was the same stuff right?

QUOTE(kevenka @ Jun 19 2008, 07:30 PM) Nintendo had up to six I believe...So VII, VIII, IX will prob be for a Sony system since it was origionally created on the PS.

Should this matter? 1/2/4/5/6/Chrono Trigger were all on the Playstation

I hope psp gets VII first, that would piss me off, but if the ds predicessor gets it, it would be a huge kick in the nuts for sony!

U mean like how it was a major kick to the balls to nintendo from square when they moved ff7 to psx all those years ago?

Square didnt have a choice the way ff7 was being made it wouldnt work on a cartridges and the next gen console n64 was still using cartridges. beside i think the original psx prototype was a joint project between sony and ninty for a snes/cd-rom system. the last 2-d rpg was crono trigger with was on snes and once square decide to make ff7 as a 3-d game ninty system couldnt keep up...
