Remaking FF5 or FF6? Heck no, we'll just do the 14th port of FF4.

Incoming: FF4 for Samsung Fridges (exclusive)

Why the DS version? Why? The PSP version was superior in EVERY way possible!

Sooner or later, they're going to port it to the N-Gage.

At this point, I'm betting Square Enix will create its own console just so it can port FFIV to another machine.

Even if I wrote this news topic, not Emigre, the sarcasm would speak for itself.
This thread doesn't even need Gahars

EDIT: I bet he heard my calling

Poor V and VI, they are like the red headed step children that get beaten and neglected.

Since the DS version of III was already ported to iOS and Android, it was only a matter of time till they port IV too.

Last time I counted, there were around 17 different versions of Final Fantasy IV around.

This was about four years ago that I counted.

No, no, no, if anything, they're porting it to the Wonderswan Color...oh, wait. The DS version wasn't the best version, but the translation was better than the 1991 original.

Oh, you mean how it had an original story, an excellent class/job system and how it's only been on two consoles* and one handheld system? That's okay, Square Enix forgot about that, too.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Meh. Not that it's a bad game, but cmon. Can't they make ports of other games than III or IV? Show some love to V and VI.

    We have ROM hacking for a reason- http://filetrip.net/gba-downloads/t...dvance-snes-sound-restoration-20a-f29426.html (similar patches available for 6- http://filetrip.net/gba-downloads/t...advance-snes-sound-restoration-10-f23436.html , and 4 http://filetrip.net/gba-downloads/t...y-iv-advance-sound-restoration-10-f30686.html http://filetrip.net/gba-downloads/t...advance-snes-color-restoration-10-f25446.html )

Anyway nice to meet some fellow FF5 aficionados.

FF5's story started out pretty damn bland... then it tossed in some really cool elements, especially when the w****s merged.

Another FF5 fan here, but I'd prefer 6 to get some love too.

Too bad those sound hacks aren't in stereo (which would be nice for emulators), but I digress. The hacker's logic is the GBA didn't output in stereo* "so why should this be in stereo" he said? Sorry, buddy, but the Snes/Super Famicom version wins by virtue of being in stereo and not monaural.

    *Guess he never used headphones.

I'll be able to run it on my samsung camera soon.
I can already play FFIII on it.
