Any luck getting it to work without the "Thanks for Playing" screen on the DSTT?
I'm pretty sure it would be big news if someone got it to work. Right now we just need to wait til it gets cracked.
The Japanese version works.
But it's pretty much pointless playing unless you understand japanese.
I am hoping for a quick fix. Even though I only got about 15 mins in, it seems like a good game.
Not really. I almost beat the Japanese version [i was on the last boss]
I rode in other boards,
it would work for CycloDS
But R4 and M3 DS would have the same Problem
Time for an update for DSTT
Hopefully they will fix the problems with the JUS translation as well
Anyone tried this with YSMENU?
I haven't, but considering that YSMenu uses a loader ripped from the official DSTT kernel I doubt it would work any better than the official kernel.
Maybe I haven't played far enough into it yet, but what is this "Thanks for playing" screen you guys are going on about? The game seems to work fine for me unless this is something I just haven't run into yet.
You will probably run into it, its a new protection thing that Nintendo is doing. And the game only works correctly on certain cards. Good thing I have a Cyclo and it works perfectly. But if you get it, don't worry because people are trying to crack it as quickly as possible.
It's not a protection thing. It's the Flashcarts firmwares fault. >__>
it is a protection since in other ppl's games on cyclo this never came until the game was over so this does'nt exist under normal play but does so if used with R4/M3/DSTT
The screen also pop in after you completed the game?
Yeah, I ran into it myself last night after sitting down to actually play it for a few minutes. It's definitely copy protection, but you guys are pointing the finger at the wrong company. It's not Nintendo that's doing it, it's Square-Enix. I give it a couple weeks before it's cracked. Actually, I'm glad it happened on this game, because it means that when FFIVDS is released for North America, it'll very likely have the same copy protection that we'll already know how to circumvent. =)
