Years ago I heard that the port had terrible load times because it used a Japanese ROM (which has been proven) and that the game would load the translations on the fly which resulted in poor load times.
Simply swapping the Japanese ROM with the US ROM would supposedly fix this but I can't find anything about how to go about this.
Does this at all sound familiar to anyone?
