Actually, with a recent update, they're starting to translate the story as well.

There are a lot of story script to translate.
We don't know how long it will take to translate them all.
As the official US release is not yet announce, we can't say if it will be completed before or after.
You can start playing, or testing our translation. It's well playable.

Only reason I figured french myself was that when I read your posts, it sounded exactly how my Dad (A Quebec-er) would sound.

There haven't been any official announcements that I've seen but IGN lists the US release date as "TBA 2008" so it looks like we're getting closer to a definite release date and that to me is at least confirmation that they WILL release it here.

For as excited as I am about this game, I am gonna skip the trans patch and just wait for the english release.

BUT anyone know if the the new DQ game is fully enjoyable when switched to english? Or should I still know japanese?
