Question. Do you think you have to play the FF12 on ps2 to understand the story, or is it separate? Nice trailer.

These types of games are usually good stand-alones, but it always helps if you played the previous games in order to get a deeper understanding of the story, since the characters will probably refer to events that took place during the PS2 game. However, since this is a Nintendo game, and they don't expect the players to have both consoles, my guess is that those references will be minimal.
I'd recommend playing FFXII on the PS2 as well though, since it's a great game, albeit a little long (took me 60 hours to beat without doing any sidequests. I didn't die that often either.)

Quick question, the last music in this game's trailer seems to be very familiar..., anyone know what it is?
This is the version I saw.

Like the battle system a lot!

The DS is the system for FF fans, I've really gone off the console versions, FF9 was the last one I really enjoyed.

Can't wait for FF Tactics either.

Can somebody explain the battle system to me. I don't quite see how it works. I see little HP bars though [IMG]

I think it will use the gambit system again. That would be pretty cool.

In more of the newer FF's its remixed a lot that one sounds more like the original (also in FF12 opening).
