I'm stuck on the mission called "Pearls in the Deep" where you must beat the mark Lord of the Flowsand.

I can't win to be honest, I get Game Over everything, can anyone help me out?

i see what mission you're talking about, it a pretty tough one thats for sure

what i did is i ignored the little minnions rushed all my guys next to the boss (all of them having counter) kept two units a square back so that they could heal the others

and whenever the boss did the attack taht hurts all the squares around him (which he tends to do when there is a crowd around him) i had 4 guys counter attacking

then when it was my turn i healed my guys up and made them attack an so on

if this doesnt work you might consider leveling up a bit

    Well,
go level up on easier quests,
    train your white mage well,
pay no attention to the master of the flowsand's minions,
and rush in with reckless abandon.

"Then you just hit, hit, hit! Ka-KEEN! Bingo!"

If you have it, try the clan privelige "regen".

Use archers, if you have them, Hunters, and if you have it, Sidewinder.

Ignore the little antlions since the stage is over once the big boss dies. Everyone near the big guy should have Counter since if he hits all of them, they'll all smack him quite a bit.

Bishop would be handy for the battle as they can get Cura and Aero, healing and massive wind-damage for elemental exploitation.

If you like to be risky, try the Beat Down moves in the Fighter class or Gladiator. Less chance to hit but when they do, it really smarts.

If you can, get wind weapons (This may be difficult at this point).

What will really hurt him though is a Hunter with a wind weapon using sidewinder.

But, like what all the others said, just rush him with your offensive characters.

In my party I had Luso (attacker), a bangaa (attacker), Adelle (an attacker, I think), a viera white mage to heal, and a gunner and a hunter.

My white mage got wiped out early. I don't recommend a healer unless they can take the hits.

My gunner and my hunter did stable damage, while Luso and my Bangaa kept nailing him. Adelle, although I planned to use her to attack, I used mostly "Item" to heal Luso and my bangaa.

And ignore those antlions, more just spawn when you kill them.

If you have a team full of people that use counter it's a cake walk, but even I did it the harder way.....first you have to ignore the other two enemies and get to the bottom as quick as possible and hammer away and heal when needed.....

Come back in around five levels. Six people at 21 against one level 44 will make it a lot easier. Also, try to smack her with physical attacks since she's a mage and therefore has high resists. You can use your casters for healing if need be.

You can totally beat him at that level. Just prepare your guys and have a handy stash of phoenix downs ready. You can beat these guys using strategy rather than pure brute force.

Here's how you do it. Let one guy be the guy to bring back people from the dead, my nu mou did this. Have your vieras and humes be archers to be in classes that allow usage of bows with secondary skill as archer and them learned focus. Make sure your bangaa has learned the monk skill air render. You can use the moogle as cannon fodder, as red king usually always targets the weakest. Make sure you spread your guys out and never have them adjacent to each other. Then pound away at the Red Kings health using focus and air render, remember they are more effective from the back. Focus shots should take about 20 dmg off of him while the air render should be about the same. You can also try to find a map guide that shows the locations of traps and try to bring him in. The sten traps take half his hp.

If you've got a Sniper, use Weapon Shot - that way, the Red King can only really hurt you with Magic.

    I love my FFTA2 game.

    Why

Becuase I just got a gladator way earily in the game.

Now I just need to put the best strategy to work to make sure that his beatdown, my mogle knights mog lance and my white monks air render plus my other charaters win.

I hated that "Pearls in the deep" quest, first storyline quest that actually surprised me with it's difficulty.
My strategy was having my Elementist (Previously white mage) on healing duty and my hunter spamming Sidewinder (Extra damage to monsters).
Pretty much since then Sidewinder has been a godsend for any other mission with monsters [IMG]

I wish I had unlocked some of the better jobs.

I unlocked Green mage through a special mission.

Plus I got the berserker (previous a bangga job, now a job for that pig like race) and a gladator really earily.
