@mrgone: I had this same idea of recording the results I get when crafting weapons and armors. I think it would be better to use a spreadsheet so everything looks more organized and it can be more easily updated. What do you say?

I don't think we can do something like that, but yeas, a Google Spreadsheet is the way to go.

Is there just a code for infinite crystals? The last three games I've played contained grinding, I need a vacation.
Oh, and while we're at it, when using the robot guy's R-button special, you can always spot two items on the floor of boss battles that are invisible to the naked eye, but that you can carry... But that's it, I don't know what to do with them!

ok, i've tested again (in batches of three, as i had three samurai armor and three rubys and onyxes)
and its really a bit random

    ruby + samurai armor:
    and i got:
    samurai lore 3 + sp boost 3
    samurai lore 3 + fast charge 3
    samurai lore 3 + sp boost 2 + atk boost 1
    samurai lore 3 + sp boost 2 + fast charge 1
    samurai lore 3 + fast charge 2 + atk boost 1
    samurai lore 3 + atk boost 3

    so it boils down to:
    samurai lore 3 + 3 points from ( sp boost and/or fast charge and/or atk boost )

and it didn't change, if i used an onyx

    EDIT
i checked with the other stones,
and i also got versions i posted above [IMG]

@mrgone: ahh, it sucks that theres such a heavy aleatory component to it. this could make documenting it a lot harder...

@Hitto Those invisible things you were talking about are used to revive people.

masters weapon ( staff of skills for yukes)
    with ruby:
    sp boost 3
    fast charge 2
    tribal secrets 2

    next try:
    sp boost 3
    tribal secrets 2
    ring speed 2

after multiple tries with more rubies i got this one:
    mag boost 3
    fast charge 2
    ring speed 2

    and this one:
    sp boost 5 !!!
    fast charge 2
    tribal secrets 2

    and this one:
    mag boost 3
    tribal secrets 2
    ring speed 2

so my formula for this one is:
mag boost 3(uncommon) or sp boost 3(common) or sp boost 5 (rare)
and 2 abilities from (fast charge 2, ring speed 2, tribal secrets 2)

Congrats on your rare staff of skills, mrgone, but I don't think we'll ever be able to complete the chart if we have to try so many times when ordering a weapon to see what comes out of it. I say we better keep it simple and just use the first result we get. What do you think?

@mrgone: I just updated the charts with your new findings. I'm sorry that I still haven't been able to input anything, but I can't get past the first boss in the New Game+ [IMG]

That's it? What a letdown. It's even more impractical to use than just using a raise magicite.

I personally use emeralds a lot, always hoping to get an HP-regen item, but it seems that it isn't worthwhile in the later game...

i still cannot see a connection between special powers and used stones, ita always pretty random

its better to save before making stuff, and try the combinations for different results

Or a save editor so we don't need to turn off DS, load game, wait through unskippable shit, load save, walk to the shop, wait through the text, select order, make item, turn off DS, load game....

I think it would be best to just abandon the project. It's pretty dumb trying to document a process that is so random, specially when it takes so long because the combinations are infinite.
