I've got my wii u set up for the hack that used the loadine ovh site. (Illuminati) I'm wanting to now use it for USB backups.. I do not have persistent internet right now, but if I need to get a game to make this work I can temporarily hook it up at my brother's to do what I need. I'm seeing many methods, and am just trying to figure out which tutorial to follow if I'm wanting persistent offline, and backup loading from USB. Thank you for your time.

For quick and easy use the Brazilian method. Use one of the downloading programs to get the files (eg NUSGrabber.exe is quick but it's from the command line, or there's lots of ones with GUIs) then go to the Wii U ISO site to get the tickets, put the right ticket in with the files, put them in a folder with the game's name, put that in a folder called Install, put that on your Wii U SD card, run WUPInstaller Mod Y and install it to your console. If I am wrong in any of these steps I'm sure someone will chime in.

Be sure to run CFW patcher once before you install stuff with WUP Installer y mod.

use haxchi to install a persistent offline hack (at the cost of a DS Virtual Console title), Downoad your tickets/data from the eShop servers with one of the downloader programs for PC, transfer that data to an SD card, and then use WUPinstaller YMod+HBL to install games to your NAND or a USB hard drive. (you can then delete the install data from your SD card, btw :))

You are limited to retail titles that had a digital release on the eShop, however. To install any game, you need an SD card twice the size of your NAND (16GB card for 8Gb systems, 54GB for 32GB systems) minimum, and then proceed to install REDNAND.

Edit: There's no need for a redNAND.

I suppose that is the way to go. I can tether long enough to download from the eShop

I followed this tutorial and it works perfectly, the guy has some great videos. He also has one for Haxchi on his channel to use IOSU offline.
