Im planning to buy a secondhand PS1 soon, and its already fully modded.
    But I got some questions:

    - Does anybody know a good site for PS1/PSX ISO's? PM me if you've got one [IMG]

    - What is the minimal size and the maximum size of a PS1/PSX ISO?

    - Could anyone post a good site/forum for some PS modding emulation and other things concerning modding PS1?

    - How do I burn an ISO to a CD? Maybe a tut?

    Tnx in adv.

ISO sizes go up to 700MB, but images in other formats such as cue/bin, etc. can be much larger due to them storing more information about the disc but the same about of data.
Burning the ISO is simple, load your favourite burning application and select burn image. The speed that you burn at is preference, I burn at 16x fine with the media I used. The program you use might be subject to the type of image it is.

    Another question:

We have only one TV at home, and thats why I would like to play on a PC screen.
    Is this possible?
And do you have to connect the PlayStation to the PC, or to the PC screen?

    Tnx in adv.

    You're asking for teh Ban.

The rules CLEARLY state that there is to be no asking of any illegal material in the forum -- ESPECIALLY Roms/ISOs. If you want to trade games with someone, do it some other way, or else the mods are going to eat you alive.

Besides, nobody gets their games from "sites" anyways.

That's pushing it a bit too far asking for ISOs twice now.

But just in case I need some other games, I need some sites.

I have some sites now, tnx to everyone who mailed me them!
I wont ask for them again.

Again, no asking for sites. I'm not a moderator or anything, but I think really anyone who's a GBAtemp regular can share the rules too.

Also, it's not smart of you to announce that people are providing illegal material to you.

    *sigh* people never learn.

    Really sorry...
But on other forums where you can discuss DS homebrew and all the things that go with it, you can ask for ISO's and roms just fine, only it should be by PM.
So I thought it was like that here too...
    Sorry again...

You could use a TV/Capture card or a VGA box, but the quality might not be that good.

My sister has an adapter thingy to connect her PS2 to a computer monitor, so maybe the PS1 can do it too. I don't know what the adapter it is exactly or how it works, just makes sense.

Any other tips on connecting my PC monitor to the PS1?

And does anyone know a good site/forum where you can read and talk about PS1 emulation?

    1. There should be adapters to plug in the RYW to your computer monitor.

    2. Google.com and search for ps1 emulation....just a thought.

The psx uses a Red/Yellow/White output combination in order to plug into most standard televisions. In order to have it plugged into a computer monitor you would need to have a video card that often uses an S-video input, then go buy a S-Video to 'fat plug' converter. You would plug the yellow adapter into the 'fat plug' conversion part, then plug the s-video end into your computer's video card. Then you would need to hook your audio outputs up into your soundcard, given they have inputs, then you would switch your video card to display the s-video input. That is how I do it at least, using a 'TV' emulator that simulates a TV with video 1/2/3 and so forth.
