To quote the great Simon Cowell

“If you had lived 2,000 years ago and sung like that, I think they would have stoned you.” :rofl2:

It has been said that punk is not necessarily noted for its technical musicianship. In this instance I am not sure that mitigation is in play, which might in turn mean it is even more punk... this is getting confusing which I think means I am an old man.

Given punk first arose in the 70s that would mean I was only just being born.
What?
You're older?
Are you implying that?
I mean, I'm not trying to criticize you, but you seemed younger to me.

Gosh, my respect for you just sky rocketed, sir.

Edit: God damn, stupid auto corrector ರ_ರ

Why would my managing not to catch a bullet in/always beat the bus for more years make me more worthy of respect?

I'm not sure if you've read the comments I've made about you, but I once told someone here, that knowledge and smart-ness are attributes that I respect a lot because is hard to find nowadays.
Smart people is smart because they've decided to be that way, and I respect you for that.
Because you took the time to get knowledge.
You decided to read instead of watch TV.
You decided to be different.

And now, knowing that you're old enough to care about punk, means that you were probably in your teens in the 70s.
Nowadays, people just gives up with the intellect.

Off topic: God damn typing on my cellphone is so fucking slow.

I fear you overestimate me.

Equally

That is one of my favourite songs. I was not around, much less of an age to appreciate such a song, in the 1920s.

Yeah, I can appreciate good 30s, 40s and 50s music.
Probably I can add more to my overestimation about your intellect: How often, do you find people that knows how to appreciate music?
How often do you find someone to talk to about something else than what you saw on TV?
How often can you find helpful people?

My overestimation, is based on your knowledge.
You should be a role model, really. A fucking modern treasure.

I'm not trying to bother you btw. More people should be like you

I can very much assure you I wasn't a teen in the 70s yet I am a huge fan of punk. Especially The Clash/The Pistols/Sham 69/Early Blondie before they sold out/ The Ramones ect.

Modern Punk is shit.

It actually originated in New York especially at the famous CBGBs club with acts like Television/Patti Smith and the Ramones round about late 1974 to early 1975. British bands began to hear these bands and then it became huge over here.

Can't believe I've just spent an hour cooking.
Obviously now anyone can tell I'm not a punk listener.
Yeah... well... I didn't knew it had it's origins in New York (and it's a bit shocking) as we've always been taught that Punk comes from England / The British.
That's a little bit interesting to know.
