Was just checkin' out IGN's release list and, though not what I'd consider a stellar month, February has some good stuff coming out. None of the games on there are games I'm necessarily crazy about (Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword is a March release

), but there's certainly a large variety of very promising games:

Assasin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles
Homie Rollerz
(yes, it will probably suck, but the name is so cool

)
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Apollo Justice (not a fan of the Phoenix Wright games, but my wife is drooling over it)
Dungeon Explorer (finally, the English version)
FIFA Street 3
Insecticide
(actually, this one is one I've been kind of ga-ga over, but Gamecock screwed me on Dementium, so I'm not sure...)
Nanostray 2

Japanese releases of interest:

Legend of Kage 2
Soma Bringer (Please, please, please, Nintendo, bring this one to the US)

Not too shabby for a month in DS gaming. Should definitely tide me over `til my gem arrives in March.

Yeah good month looking forward to:

Assasin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Dungeon Explorer (apparently it sucks though)
Insecticide (If I can only have one of these games it'll be this one)
Legend of Kage 2 (Loved the arcade game, hated the NES one I hope its a good retro game)
Pic Pic
Populous (Japan only but I do hope theres an English option like Theme Park had)
Space Invaders Extreme (Japan)
Dodgeball Brawlers (Japan but I think its been delayed)

Really looking forward to Professor Layton.

Can't say I care too much for the rest, though of course Apollo Justice will get lots of attention...

This is exactly why my DS is currently my favorite system. I think it's gonna be a great year for DS in general. Out of the games coming out in Feb I can't wait for Professor Layton and Apollo Justice and really want to try out Assassins Creed.

HUH?
Dementium is an awesome game.

Says you.

Set aside the fact that the gameplay was repetitive to a mind-numbing degree and the same four monsters (and bosses) were recycled throughout (not to mention the lack of any real story -- the ending was a total nothing), the save system was BROKEN...as in broke-ass.

(Yes, the graphics were great. Yes, the controls were great. But controls and graphics a good game does not make.)

No matter, I'm still very interested in Insecticide and everything else Gamecock does, because, though they may be responsible for the save system in Dementium (and I'm guessing -- it very well could have been Renegade Kid's idea, though I doubt it), they also seem to really get behind original ideas that are pushing gaming into a fresh area.
