Hello everyone, breaktemp here again to host our forum's next Pokemon Tournament !

As of today, I am accepting applicants for our 2018 February tournament.

Sign ups, for this tournament, will close on January 31st at 11:59PM (USA - Central Time).

This tournament's start date has been planned for Thursday February 1st.

Also, the format will be Double Flat-Battles (along with the current VGC rule set)

Interested parties, that would like to compete in this tournament, are asked to post their 3DS Friend Code below.

Do note that you need a copy of Pokemon Ultra Sun or Pokemon Ultra Moon (Digital or Physical) participate in this tournament.

Because of compatibility issues, any entrant found using Pokémon Sun or Pokemon Moon will be dropped from this tournament.

Spoiler: Tournament Structure :

The battles will be Double Format and will use Flat-Rules (Pokémon set to Level 50).

Use able Pokémon will be the same as the current 2018 sets :

Each game will be played as a Match (best 2 out of 3)

The First 4 rounds will be "Round Robin"

You will battle 4 different trainer earning a point for each match victory.

Trainers with the highest point total will be entered into a single elimination tournament.

This final bracket will consist of the top 4 ~8 (depending on how many entrants) trainers

Who ever wins the match moves on in the tournament

Each match will be given a 48 hour window to conclude.

Any party not reporting in by 24 hours will be marked as a game loss.

Also, repeat offenders will be dropped from the tournament (as a whole)

Genning doesn't count as cheating by the way. Any manipulation within a wifi battle just results in a disconnect, a crash, and there are no publicly available cheats that have that kind of power.

The game won't actually let you use them online at all as far as I know. They did in XY Free Battle but those days are long gone ;O;

Crazy stat editing can't be done in this generation for one, I'm pretty sure the wifi checks still go for Friend-to-Friend battling, meaning illegal move combinations won't be allowed anyways. So you're complaining about nothing essentially.

Because of that, I am going to be very lenient about "Genned" Pokémon.

More or Less if your team passed the Wi-Fi check with the rules applied...your team is legal for this tournament.

Since this will start as a Round Robin, I will setup/finalize the brackets at the end of the month.

Still working on the rules...thinking about giving each round/match at 48 hour window to complete their battle.
