Did the issue of freeze files not being compatible between versions ever get fixed in any of Tantric's emulators?

freeze files? do you mean save states? off the top of my memory the only time that happened was due to such a huge change in the emulation core that made save states incompatible between builds

Every time I update my old states (sorry, guess freeze files is an old term) won't load. I'll have to test with this one, but it usually gives an error about versions or something. Happens on both of my wii's.

Update: Seems like only Snes9XGX is giving me the savestate issue now, says "Snapshot not in Snes9X Format" even though I saved it within the emulator.

Two questions:

1) Did he ever add a "Fast Forward" function?
2) Is there a way to make the game list fill more of the screen horizontally? So I can read the names without having to wait for them to scroll?

there is a fast forward function, push the C-Stick or the right analog stick to the right for that. its usually not doing a good job though, mostly seems like frames are skipped, but things still take just as long as normally. At least thats how it is for the gba/snes emu. It might work better on the nes one, as thats less heavy on the resources
Theres no rewind as far as i know

Fast forward is not as useful as a rewind function in my opinion.
Would be awesome if Tantric implemented that...

Is there a way to suggest new features perhaps?

There used to be a place for that on the Google Code entry, but for some reason, Tantric removed the issues/feature requests page.

Too bad. Though I understand.
He must have gotten tired of people complaining or 'demanding' features.

Still, I would love a rewind function.
Heck, I'm even just curious if he ever considered it.

If a DS (phat) can do it, I sort of assume a Wii could do it as well.
Also, WiiMednafen has this function, though I just like FCE Ultra GX better for NES games for some unknown reason...

Fast forward is better than rewind because you can skip all those sloooooow story scenes or slow walking across the map!

Anyway, the only thing I'd ask for in this is a favorite function.

Honestly this is best release so far, I've been following this project since the old Tehskeen days and I am glad Tantric still updating.
