Hacking FBI can't launch titles that were on the SD card before re-installing CFW.

I did re-install custom firmware after stupidly deleting stuff i shouldn't on FBI (https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-deleted-red-tickets-on-fbi-and-now-i-cant-boot-the-3ds.531776/).

Now I have some of the old installed titles still appearing on FBI, but I can't launch them. I need to reinstall Etrian Odyssey V and use the old saves. I tried to download and install the game, but it doesn't detect the old saves.

How can I reinstall EO5, and use the saves of the previous installation? According to the FBI title of that previous installation, they're still there.

If you see grey X's marking your titles at:

• System Settings → Data Management → Nintendo 3DS → Software

Your issue is missing tickets. Spoof them back with faketik.

Reinstalling a game's CIA will overwrite whatever save you had earlier. Your Etrian Odyssey V save is deleted.
From now on, back up your saves + extdata with Checkpoint or JKSM.

Do I just copy the faketik.3dsx to the SD root and launch it through FBI?

After all these years, I still haven't completed an EO game, even though I played I,II and III.

There's still a chance that the cia i've installed is a different version of the game, no?

Check if the old SAV file is still somewhere there on the card with:

• List of data recovery programs

As for faketik, use Rosalina menu Homebrew Launcher injection.
