Gaming Favorite SSBB Character

Well it's been about 2 years now since SSBB was first released for the Wii and I was wondering who you like the best. By best I mean at fighting, not cuteness or looks. Any close 2nds or 3rds etc please post below. It would be quite cool to hear different people's fighting styles and why they chose that character as well. It would also be interesting to see about your favorite final smashes as well.

They're in alphabetical order for you convenience (bar Marth) but I've had to group a few people with similar attacks as I could only put 30 options on the poll.

I personally like Samus the best, medium-high speed quite powerful and EPIC final smash.

Snake is my favourite character.

Yes he can be but whenever I choose him I get unlucky and my opponent has Sonic or someone else fast so I just get owned...

plus i'm crap at using his final smash

And if Marth and Ike are grouped, how come Mario and Luigi aren't...

Well, hard to vote. Marth maybe. Or ZSS. Mario is pretty awesome too. As is Link. And Falco... Donkey Kong is fun as well.

Oh well. Zero Suit Samus can have my vote.
(Reason being she is wonderfully agile, has wall jumps, and has some really fun spikes. All in all a fun character to play as, and effective too).

Of course if I had to play some life-or-death match, I would probably go with Marth.

EDIT: OP, it has been about 3 years since it came out, not 2. Came out 2008, it's now 2011...

I choose Pit, mostly because he's the first character I mastered while playing, and I like his various attacks.

I also play with Sonic sometimes.

R.O.B. for me. Not sure why, actually, I just like playing as him/it. Second place for ZSS, DeDeDe and Pikachu. Luigi, Ganon and Lucario in third.

c.falcon is a lot faster than ganondorf and Ike and Marth are from the same game and quite similar so...

Faster yes, but the moves are pretty similar, at least a lot more similar than Ike and Marth.

Ike and Marth are from the same series, yes. But the only move they have in common is their down special. And they both have swords. Otherwise they have nothing in common, and they are in totally different leagues when it comes to speed...

Please ungroup the characters, they're completely different, i.e. wolf =/= falco.

Anyway, in regular Brawl I use Ike, in Plus I use Marth, and in Minus I use either Ganondorf, Toon Link, Ike, or Captain Falcon.

But they made B- a lot less fun in 2.0 compared to 1.6.

I've owned this game from when it got released... never took the time to "really" play it.
It just not my game...
Just recently I used it to "modify"a Wii though.....

Grouping Captain Falcon and Ganandorf would have been WAY better than grouping Ike and Marth... it looks like you don't know pretty well how the characters work ._.

We should start eliminating the characters that everyone hates (or should hate) instead

Meta Knight for being over-powered.
Sonic for: "YOU'RE TOO SLOW!"
Pit for being... annoying. And a spammers/campers dream.
Lucas for being blond. And not as cool as Ness.
Aaaand... Olimar for being CREEPY. (I swear, Olimar running around, causing havoc, tossing around those pikmin is THE SCARIEST THING EVER. He's like a... cockroach. Or tape worm.)


(But no, Olimar should stay. I was just having trouble figuring out a fifth)

Ike's and Marth's standard and smash attacks are just about as similar as Link's and Marth's.

In other words: They are not similar.
