You make it sound like a disaster
Because from a supporter perspective it honestly is.
It's easier to debug issues and errors on vanilla Atmosphere + the rest instead of those pre-configured packs.
I can't recall how often some of the .inis were causing issues because whysoever they re-map the buttons used for title override and such.
They're perfectly fine if you're unsure what you do.
I also rather disagree with this. From my perspective, anything you need to have is the ability to properly read what the guides write and if there are issues the ability to ask proper questions (and in the end being able to follow the instructions and suggestions you are given). If you just smack those packs onto your SD, you are not wiser in the end and if you face some issue in the future, you feel even more helpless, also coming back to what I said above.
