I tryed saving Monster Hunter 4 on my gateway SD but it says that FAT32 doesnt go higher then 4 gigbt file size, so I converted the sd card NTFS. Now I can put the backup on the sdcard but gateway no longer reads the card :nds:

a) I know I can convert it to .cia but then I would need to buy a bigger sdcard for my 3ds.

b) Is there a way to make the file smaller as ive heard of this being possible

c) Also is there a diffrent file system gateway uses other then fat32?

How big is ur sd card? Just EaseUs Partation manager and expand the fat32 to the entire space
That's not the issue. FAT32 can't store files larger than 4GB, no matter how much free space you have. All filesystems have this kind of limitation, but for things like NTFS the file size limit is 16TB or something. http://www.ntfs.com/ntfs_vs_fat.htm

Its just weird with that FAT32 when it comes to 4GB file
I just have to delete 1 byte to get the 4GB file copied onto FAT32.

that's how FAT32 is working.
max file size is (2^32)-1, 4GB-1B

if you go up to editing the file to remove one byte, just trim the game with RomTool and you will win more free size for your other games.
