Hacking FAT to FAT32/NTFS Problems with switching to a bigger micro sd

Another day another problem...

i wanted to change the intern micro sd 4gb from my n3ds to a 64gb micro sd. Did it many times with other systems, but with the 4gb micro sd it doesnt work.

Followed this guide:

When i watn to resize the partition like this:

1. Click on the MIDDLE PARTITION, the one that has the data on it and expand it TO THE RIGHT (VERY IMPORTANT)

Aa error appears because the Partition Manager wants to change the FAT to FAT32..


Any Idea how i can change the partition to a bigger size after restoring from FAT backup?

Or do i have to do every single step from scratch? (Reinad-..Emunand..)?

Just use a FAT32 program and format the 64GB card to FAT32 first, then the other steps should work.

If not, extract the emuNAND from 4GB, make a new emuNAND on 64GB then inject the old emuNAND into 64GB.

You can:
- make a backup of your 4gb emunand with emunand9 and save it in your PC
- copy all your SD card in your PC too.
- format your 64gb (primary partition FAT32)
- create a brand new emunand in your 64gb card
- once done, reinject your old emunand backup into the brand new (you can use emunand9 again) and paste back your SD backup too

I think you can use emunand tools instead of emunand9 to backup your emunand if you don't have too much space in your 4gb card

What i did:

Format 64gb card to FAT32
Copied all files from 4GB Card
Boot HBL
Boot Emunand9Tool
Created Emunand
Copied all files from 4GB Card back

But when i want to Boot Reinand now, it kicks me back to ctrbootmanager tries to start reinand and so on
