Launching tomorrow is Fantasian Neo Dimension, a JRPG from Hironobu Sakaguchi or the creator of Final Fantasy. The game actually first launched as an Apple Arcade Exclusive in 2021 but is now coming to other platforms. To celebrate the imminent launch, a new trailer was aired:

Mechteria—a deathly mechanical infection that robs humans of their emotions and lives—is slowly engulfing the world. The protagonist Leo awakens with only one memory left to him in a strange land abundant with machines. The human world, threatened by mechteria... a machine world, filled with mysteries... and the unseen dimensions that lie beyond both. Using the Warp Device that was left behind, Leo must now embark on an interdimensional journey to reclaim his lost memories and save the world from the mechteria infection.

New features of Fantasian Neo Dimension include:

• Watch the characters and story come to life, with newly added English and Japanese voice overs.
• Additional difficulty option allows players to switch between Normal and Hard difficulty.
• Experience the world of FANTASIAN with new 4K resolution options (in supported scenes).
• Collaboration BGM – Switch the battle music from the original soundtrack to various songs from titles in the FINAL FANTASY franchise.

Fantasian Neo Dimension is available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Steam and launches on December 5th.

Ah yes, you can't have a JRPG without the twink protagonist. I am glad that it wasn't constrained to Apple Arcade though, its nice that it's coming to more platforms. I think the voice acting is new as well, the Apple Arcade version just had gear and machine sounds when the characters spoke.

Lost Odyssey is such an amazing story. It was so good I even got my dad to play through it, a true classic JRPG tale that's modernized. Massive game, 4 discs on the 360, man what a fun time that game was.

Actually sort of excited for this if it's gonna be anything like Lost Odyssey.

I tried giving it a run on IOS a while back, but gaming on phones and tablets just isn't my thing. I actually liked what I played of it though. The whole diorama 3D character models thing gave me a big PS1 FF nostalgia blast for sure. I can't say the story was as epic or emotional as Lost Odyssey though. I didn't get through the first part to be honest. Kinda pissed at Square though. I pre-ordered it from them cause I have a feeling this isn't getting a huge print run and wanted to be safe. They just shipped it so I'm probably gonna be waiting a week.

I've played the Apple Arcade version that came out years ago. It's a pretty decent jrpg.

Played the biggest part of it on iPad 2 years ago or so, decent classic FF formula, eventually became a little to bland and repetitive, never finished it.
