Famitsu gives Skyrim 40/40

Skyrim is pretty much a rehash of oblivium for what i seen

Please don't make moronic uneducated guesses.

They're similar, but I honestly couldn't stand to play Morrowind or Oblivion for more than a couple hours. They're incredibly boring and clunky. The combat is trash, in every respect. Levelling skills is boring and unrewarding, and quests are highly uninteresting. The map was huge, but basically barren and empty.
Skyrim basically fixed every single one of those aspects. This isn't another CoD or sports game, where they update the graphics and shuffle some stuff, then re-release. It's a solid game that is actually enjoyable to play, unlike its predecessors.

I'd call Skyrim a 9.5/10 as well, and I usually don't get highly into western RPGs. With mods, the game will easily be perfect.

Don't worry. Looking at Valwin's latest posts, you can see that most of them are trying to be witty but not succeeding and thus trying to troll educatedly while failing pretty hard. Not really something that should be looked into too much or actually noted in any way. Easier to just through away random half-truths and see what happens when someone who doesn't know about the topic takes it for granted..

On topic: Skyrim is a great game, but as always I tend to say "so far". Apparently the best experience would be with mods, but thus isn't a must to have a PC version? Sad that I will probably buy the PS3 version in the end..

It's not about them not hearing other's opinions, it's about you making baseless claims.

Skyrim's great, I never really got into Oblivion, but I got into Skyrim easily, I don't however, agree with it getting a perfect score. It still has it's problems, minor though they may be.

Maybe if you actually spoke like an intelligent person people would take you more seriously. And Skyrim's a sequel (key word here), so f course it'd be like the last game.

I fracking hate Skyrim! That being said, I'd still give it a 9-9.5/10 (36-38 in Famitsu), because it is so full of content. Unfortunately, the content isn't all quality and, to the average gamer, might become repetitive after a relatively short period of time (about 14 hours for me). It still lasted longer than most of today's first-person games (5-10 hours to beat them).

Wow a non Japanese game finally got a 40/40. I've never played Elder Scrolls so I can't judge.

Well Gears of War 3, Modern Warfare 3, Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV, LA Noire, and FIFA 12 all have 39/40's. It's the first western game to receive a perfect score but they've been more, um, "lenient" towards western games recently.

Also metascores are quite a bit more realistic since it's an average from different sites. Considering getting the game for my shelf after a few weeks and not just play it at my brothers..
