    Hi 360-Tempers!

In addition to buying the collectors edition for PC, I just couldn't resist to download the so called review version of Fallout 3. I played a bit and now that the retail is also available, I tested if I could continue on the same savegames. And guess what: It worked! Also, both the "review" and the retail show Version 1.0.0.2 in help screen. So - at the end of the day the review copy was the retail...? Or what? Does anybody have more info here?

I'm asking the same thing... But I really think the "review copy" was a retail after all!

"Review" is the final copy of the game. IE the retail version.

Some of them aren't. Fracture and Saints Row 2 review copies were Live disabled. But Fallout 3 wasn't and is pretty much the same as the retail.

all crc checks are identical except ss.bin and dmi i think, all game data matches. This is true even with the global release. AFAIK the first p2p release never mentioned that it was a review copy anyhow, it was simply 'determined' by the populous as it was a few weeks early. The review tag only popped up on the diplodocus release (but they only get there releases from others aswell)

If the game exe and game data crc all mathc, then they all must be retail.
