My ns-atmosphere's battery got big i noticed the cover broke, so i had to remove the battery and dispose of it.

I would probably buy it from you if you were so inclined and it wasn’t like horribly disfigured.

you can try pressing the reset button while you connect to computer using USB Cable and look if you get a device connected.

I just tried it multiple times, doesn't have any effect.
The reset buttons seem to have the same behavior as the + button. thanks for the suggestion

If it launches the payload and gets you into Hekate, then I don't see what the issue is. Maybe crack it open and upgrade the capacitor(s) to quality ones, and call it a day?
