After I put the SD card in the switch again, hekate 4.2 gave me a error.

"Failed to init SD card. Make sure that it is inserted. Or that SD reader is properly seated/" then it switch to OFW.

HELP ME PLS!

The SD reader is a daughter board, and is attached to the main board by a press down lego clip. It's possible it detached, or I'd imagine the worst case scenario is that it went bad. But I highly doubt that. It's also possible the SD card itself went bad, but you can just stick it into a computer to find out if that's the case. I would diagnose in this flow ...
1. Insert card into a comp and verify it's recognized
2. Try another card and see if the Switch recognizes it
3. Remove the Switch backplate and pop out the reader with a credit card (it sits on top of the metal shield so you won't have to remove it) and inspect to see if anything is immediately visible like a damaged prong
4. Re-insert carefully by pressing down with the lego clip properly aligned and you'll feel it "snap" into place like a lego.
5. Reassemble and try it again.

Keep in mind that you are working with micro-electronics and static along with disorganization are your enemies. Do not work on a metal surface, or with carpet underneath you. Treat components with the highest care and stay organized. Don't fret if it doesn't work out the first time. Maybe you missed the "snap" and have to try again. Good luck

Have you tried any other SD card? Or checking it in a computer? I would suggest that. Is it exfat format? Or Fat32? If it's asking for formatting, but you've already formatted, then my guess is that the file system corrupted somehow. I'd imagine that someone could intentionally cause this with a bad file, but the malicious files that we've seen (Pikachu file) have ruined console nands, not SD cards. Good news, it's not the lego clip so no disassembly.

I have not tried any other SD card yet. Will do though.
Tried the SD card in the computer, it works perfectly.
It is exfat format, but it sometimes ask cause of suspended software.

Do you still suggest trying to fix lego clip?

No don’t worry about the clip. If that was a problem, it wouldn’t recognize the card in OFW either and would give you the same error. Many people have experienced issues with exFAT formatting while using homebrew apps though, so I’d suspect that the issue is the same as theirs. If you look around this forum, there are solutions that people have found. Most people seem to prefer a Fat32 formatted card. I myself am using ReiNX and haven’t had any exFAT problems, so I can’t really help much more.

I had the exact same experience and replacing the sd card reader fixed it.

Try backing up your sd files, then formatting the SD card in the switch. If it's able to format the sd reader is probably not your problem... but I'm willing to bet it won't be able to.

Update:

- Tried the new SD card, exfat and fat32 format. Still same issue.
- Nintendo switch could format the SD card without any issue.
- OFW recognize SD card, but Hekate 4.2 still does not.

I will pay the person who can solve this to me.

The big problem is that I cannot restore NAND cause of Hekate does not recognize SD card.

"[FatFS] Error: NOFAT
Failed to mount SD card (FATFS Error 13).
Make sure that a FAT partition exists.."

Bumping in case some google-fu lands you here.

I FIXED MY ISSUE!

If you are getting:
"[FatFS] Error: NOFAT
Failed to mount SD card (FATFS Error 13).
Make sure that a FAT partition exists.."

Eject the SD
Plug into PC (however you reformatted the first time)
Open the Partition tool of your choice (use Minitool from Guide)
If you followed the guide for emuMMC/emuNAND
>your partitions should be: Unallocated | SD:Fat32 | 29.2GB Unformatted
Make sure that The SD and 29.2GB partitions are set to PRIMARY
Set
Apply
Plug back into Switch and continue Hekate steps.

Hope this helps.
(sizes may not match, I could not get a 16MB unallocated sector at the beginning, mine is stuck as 24MB)
