is this even worth it over the x3-GB everdrive? that ones on sale for $39
I appreciate that EZ makes their own products instead of ripping off others'
I'd argue that it is. Things the edgbx3 doesnt have:
Real time clock - games like pokemon gold silver and crystal will not keep the time. While it's not a deal breaker, the everdrive doesn't have that in the x3 and X5 variants.
Battery backed SRAM - the everdrive x3 will only save the game when you reset the cartridge using the button inside the shell. The ezflash Jr. will save the savegame in the battery powered SRAM, just like the EDGB X5 and Real games. It will then save the contents onto the SD card the next time you enter the ezflash Jr menu.
With the ezflash being roughly the same price as the edgbx3 and it having a feature set above the X5 but lower than the X7 (the X7 sports an additional ingame menu and savestates), I'd go for the ez Jr.
The EDGB x3 is really just the bare minimum.
