Hacking ezflash 4 loader problem

Trying to put on the loader exfla_up.bin onto GBA SP. I got the file on the root of the memory card, into the console, hold the R button and turn on. The standard Game Boy screen comes on then goes blank.
Am I missing something (I am using a microsd card adapter, but I don`t think that should matter if its not a straight minisd card)

Ok problem solved. Used 3 different adapters and 2 different microsd cards. Then I gave up went out and bought a minisd card, know it works.
My advice, DO NOT use a microsd card adapter!
