So I'm trying to backup all my GBA games with their savefiles on my PC.

Now the problem is v1.03 isn't capable of backing up EEPROM save files... :'(

Is there any new version out or a way to backup these saves with my current cable to pc?

Try using FlashManager instead. It can handle a good number of GBA flash carts.

If the files it backs up aren't recognized by VBA, look at the save file in a hex editor. You may have the issue where every 8 bytes are flipped, in which case you'll need a special tool to fix that.
