    EZ5i kernel 3.0 OB6
3ds fix and a bunch of game fixes.
    [IMG][IMG]

The EZTeam have released kernel 3.0 OB6 for the EZ5i line of flash cards. It joins the other top tier cards in allowing support for the 3ds (potential users do note Nintendo have promised a counter update to all this to be released in the near future) and fixes a bunch of games (including pokemon).
To achieve 3ds compatibility the internal firmware needed an update to v103 for which you need to be at v101 to start the update process (an error should be displayed if you are lower than that but do try to sort things before you get to that stage- this thread has links on the EZ5i firmware).[/p]

I forgot I had one of these laying around and messed around with it for a bit... turns out it's a really solid card! Whenever Acekard or Supercard comes out with an update like this everyone goes crazy, but not when it's the Ez Flash team... Small userbase, I guess? It's certainly an underrated card.

Best card out there, IMO, for rom-based usage. Homebrew, not so much, but rom usage was the reason I bought it. The price of a used DS game for an excellently high compatibility? Sold! And the EZFlash team is one of the few teams that listen to their users. (Mbmax can vouch me for this with the whole fiasco with Super Mario 64 DS and a few others losing compatibility out of nowhere. [IMG]) I think I'm going to actually wait for a while into the 3DS's life span before updating to this. My wife is getting to keep my DSi XL, and I'm getting a 3DS. She uses her iPod more than anything, so I've got a backup regardless of the way the flashcart "wars" go.

Glad to see the EZFlash team is on this, and I hope (just like with the few DSi updates) that they don't get snipped like everybody else.

What does this mean? Nintendo actually announced a flashcart-blocking update (not the "brick"-update)?

it may be a rollercoaster ie. front and back with nintendo and the teams trying to beat each other. We still have to wait for the 3ds to be launched in eu or am for a big update from nitnendo

Hit up the EZFlash forums and let somebody know. They'll get it eventually.

EDIT: I see you already did. Nevermind then...
