EZ5 2.0 11th of May test version
Preview of the new kernel.

The EZTeam have released another pre-alpha version of the upcoming 2.0 kernel based on Moonshell 2.0. Like the older "taste version" this lacks the extra features like cheats, soft reset and savestates. It was a released to mark the one year anniversary of the 2008 Sichuan/Wenchuan earthquake.
This version adds brightness adjustment and fixes a couple of games.

Whoops, forgot to add it (no way of knowing number before post is made).
Also before people ask I have no idea if the EZTeam plan on backporting the Made in Ore fix to the 1.86 line or the 1.90 line.

Concerning the fact the team could add MIO support to k1.86 or 1.90OB11. I think if people ask for it there will probably consider it.
In the other hand, create a 32MB save file under 1.86 or 1.90OB11 kernel will take years ...

This new beta still doesn't work for me... I'll go try another microSD card now (currently testing on kingston 4G).

EDIT: Ok, I got further with my 8GB nobrand microSD, it's crashing on the blue loading screen

"fatal error: glsafemalloc(0byte)"

EDIT: Ok, same error on my noname 4GB

EDIT: Same error on my sandisk 1gb...

There goes all my microSD cards....

I think i must be missing some vital firmware file, or the download is bugged...

EDIT: looking at the US ezflash forums, seems like I'm not the only one with this issue...

Yes OSW, PharaohsVizier has the same problem than you.
Also some users on Chinese forum that can't use this kernel. I think the team know about this bug and it's not yet fixed.

For my part, i can run it on my different microSD and my EZVi card so it's a kernel bug.

Just for information, the write routine is really fast under this kernel, because creating a 32MB save file tooks ~16 seconds which give use about 2MB/s. The best i have seen on a flashcart was on cycloDS evo with 1.7MB/s.

Under k1.86 or 1.90OB this process will took more than 1 minute IMHO.

I think this will not happen. Like many other flashcart you will have to run moonshell 2.0 apart, to be able to play multimedia files.
This is not sure at 100% but the system folder named like it is, let me think that.
Also it could be a way to respect moonlight wish concerning the use of his homebrew in a kernel.

k, it couldn't load games in the last 2.0 version, so it just the same bug, I got it to load , but the game stop at 80% when loading.
I think ill do more testing first, maybe if I fully format my Micro SD and put everything clean on it , it may work.

Yep, it's a good idea. Try to full format with panasonic formatter (full erase ON, adjust size ON).

yep, ill do it once I transfer my savs and ill see what happens.


Edit: Failed , full formant and it still stills at loading NDS file.

At least I got a kingdom hearts Skin for 1.90
