So a while back I switched over to the 3DS as my main handheld. Due to a lack of a good GBA emulator for my flashcart, I decided to start using my Game Boy micro with an EZ4 again. I downloaded the latest kernel and used the provided software to patch all my backups to save properly. Then I used GBATA to patch them for Sleep mode and Soft Resetting. Sleep Mode works fine.

Here's the problem. When I Soft Reset, the GBA BIOS splash comes up, but then it goes to the game I had previously running instead of going back to the EZ4's menu and saving. It's been a while since I've messed with this, what am I doing wrong? Did something change in the newer kernels?

It still works as expected if I turn it off and on again. It also saves just fine.
