I would recommend buying the EZ-V flash bundle, just make sure you get a made in Japan micro sd card.

I think they mean that the combo with the 3in1 expansion pack is easier to use. This is because the 3in1 expansion is made to work with EZ-V. If you want to use it with like R4, you need to use some unofficial homebrew stuff or something, and I dunno if all it's functions are already supported by this homebrew. (I believe rumble not)
The EZ-V on it's own isn't really easier or harder to use then the R4. Or I believ the EZ-V requires a savetypelist to be updated for some new games...

Well, it has a more customizable UI (moonshell based), and it allows you to patch roms (hybrid mode) to make Castlevania PoR compatible with slower MicroSD's.
But appart from that, I don't think it's really better.

Honestly if you Could I would buy the R4 and then the 3in1 Rumble, but I believe you have to buy the EZ5 with the expansion...

Another choice is that you could get a R4 with an EZ4 Deluxe. Although you wouldn't have rumble. I have an EZ4 Deluxe right now and the next thing I want is a R4. That would be my choice since EZ4's are good in price and also have great compatibility and support.

the EZTeam recently announced that they would add hybrid mode to the OS, so you won't even have to use the hybrid tool any more.

that would mean that you won't need a fast card for those games that would require one, and you won't have to patch beforehand either.

that makes it even better than before.

i already considered it to be better simply because of the hybrid tool making any microsd card a valid option instead of hunting for a japan kingston.

You don't have to buy the bundle. You can buy the 3in1 by itself. I'm using the 3in1 with my R4 and it works great so far.

PoR works fine with my taiwanese kingston when i set the speed to 5 on my EZV
