    EZ-Flash V Kernel 1.40

Internal Hyrbid Mode, Save backup improved + more

An update for the EZ-V has been released which brings with it quite a few changes. It integrates hybrid mode directly into the kernel rather than using the separate Hybrid tool to patch ROMs. This means if you have a slow micro SD card and a game like Castlevania lags just enable 'Hybrid' in the system options and it should run lag-free.

Support for the Pokemon migrate feature of Diamond and Pearl has been added for the 3-in-1 Expansion Pack among other things.

There are some great additions here however Soft Reset doesn't seem to be integrated into the kernel. Many thanks to Athlon-pv for the heads up!

Nice ... EZ-V is starting to become some serious competition for R4 ... [IMG]

    it doesnt ?

Rom is stored at point X and when it is transfered bytes would be changed before execution ...

Since when was R4 competition for the EZ-5 ?

Curses, I only got mine yesterday so I've only just installed the previous one! That means I've gotta get the microSD out again; when Opium said new EZ-V's eat fingernails for breakfast he wasn't kidding. My poor poor thumbs! (but it's so worth it)

Why doesn´t this update appear on the ez homepage?

Another question: whats the difference between kernel and loader?

Thank you. Well, I know what the shell is. I got confused, because on the sosuke forums they first mentioned the loader and later they were talking about the kernel. That´s why I asked!

if i had the 3-in-1, and an R4/M3, for example, how would i update the 3-in-1 firmware, or does it only update properly from an ez-v?

There is no 3-in-1 firmware. You don't need to update it, only the EZ-V.
