Ok, so ive been playing Pokemon Ruby on my DS using the EZFlash V 3 in 1 Combo.

Now. How do I load my sav file from Ruby that i have been playing on my DS, to VBA correctly? As i want to use some encounter/item hacks, and then transfer it back to my DS.

Ive tried already, and it wouldnt work. So im assuming im missing a step, or something.

A speedy reply would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In VBA: Load the game (without the save), then File> Import > Battery file
(then probably "Export" to go back to the EZ-V afterwards)

I tried it, and sadly, it didnt work.

When i got to the Ruby Menu, it said "the save has been deleted". Yet it still works on my EZFlash V.

There might be some conversion or modding needed to make it loadable in VBA im guessing..

Or.. Will EZFlash V read sav's made in VBA on its own?
If so, i could just start a game on VBA, do the hacks, then put it on my DS.

Could anyone confirm this? Or any other solution to my problem.

If anyone can get it to load in VBA, plz let me know.

EDIT: Oh, Also. The ROM ive been using has this in the beginning of it.

You're probably using the correct setup on VBA given you get that "save has been deleted message". Just to be sure:

Real Time Clock: ENABLED
Save Type: AUTOMATIC
Flash save size: 128 kbytes

Then follow Psyfira's suggestion to import your save (be sure the save from your EZV is a 128 kbytes file). No need to export the file. Just make an in-game save. VBA will generate a 128 kbytes .SAV file which you can use on your device (so yes to your question about starting a game on VBA).

But if you are interested on using your current save and cannot import it into VBA, upload it and I'll give it a look.

EDIT: Oops, you already uploaded it. I'm going to try.
EDIT2: LOL, seems it's done

Also, that Ruby Sav loads now in VBA, but when i save, it doesnt update it

Go to Options > Emulator > Directories. In the "Save Game" bar stick a directory in there (doesn't matter where) and then put the save file in there, name it the same as the rom and it'll read and save to it everytime without fail.

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
