Hacking EZ-Flash Omega DE - Sleep mode Patch not working? 1.02 Kernel/3.0 Firmware

I've been testing some games that don't have native Sleep Mode when playing on my DSlite, and when they go into sleep mode, the system is unresponsive, forcing me to power cycle the handheld. I can't exit sleep mode and return to the game from where I was.

On another note, I tested a game that does support sleep mode, running clean, but the screen flickers for a second and then just continues running. Should games that have native sleep mode still use the Addon version instead, and if so, what should I do to get the system to respond and get back in game after it's triggered?

Press start + select to exit sleep mode.

As for conflicts, personally I just turn sleep mode off on the game level and just let the card handle the sleep.

Thank you. I've been trying left and right every combination possible, including left and right, with not success. The official guide doesn't have that detail.
