EZ-FLASH OMEGA Definitive Edition firmware 7 and kernel 1.05

Changelog

Firmware7 for Rev.B
Added support for S98 chips with 020 suffixes.

Kernel 1.05
Updated the embedded gbc emulator to Jagoombacolor 0.5, credited to EvilJagaGenius, FluBBa, Dwedit, Minucce, Sterophonick, Nuvie, Radimerry, Therealteamplayer and other contributors.

Note: Due to the emulator has been changed, GBC games that were run before the upgrade may have compatibility errors because the original Goomba settings are saved in the saver. Please press the L+R keys and modify the gameboy settings in other settings to Prefer GBC over SGB.

Maybe you have heard that the Rev.B upgraded to FW7 has liberated a certain function on a certain product. We can only say that this is just a coincidence. This will not be officially recognized by us or included in the official update list.

EZ-FLASH OMEGA Kernel 1.10

Changelog

K110
Updated the embedded gbc emulator to Jagoombacolor 0.5, credited to EvilJagaGenius, FluBBa, Dwedit, Minucce, Sterophonick, Nuvie, Radimerry, Therealteamplayer and other contributors.
Added the addon support for Goodboy Galaxy for GBA v1.2.
Upgrade FatFs library to v0.15

Still no intention to fix the regression of Classic NES/Famicom Mini support? If fixed, it would be the only flashcart in the market to support it like it does with any other game.
@EZ-Flash2 said literally years ago that they had these fixes ready to go, but wouldn't release an update just for them, so they would have to wait for another update. I guess they forgot about that when they were busy disappearing and providing no support for their products for the longest time.

I see the og Omega kernel got updated....but the repo on github is still 3+ years out of date...Any chance you can ask them to fix that? If they had moved it over as a branch on DE's repo maybe just make that public or something.....Unless it's just a compile flag now. I haven't looked more closely at DE's repo yet. Currently using a custom fork for regular Omega that autoboots game on norflash unless shoulder button held on boot. :P

Does anyone know what this "liberated function on a certain product" means? Is it about fpga handelds? Or did they fix the rumble feature in DS homebrew apps?
Fix rumble feature in DS homebrew apps? You mean, for EZODE to behave as an EZ3in1?

Well, they already released two EZODE updates, and one EZO update. If it's already done, it wouldn't be very difficult. It's very strange.
There's also a file called 'gba_nes_patch.h' on its source code, so CNES/FCM support seems to be also something kinda separate from the main engine?

I'm glad that EZ-Flash is still supporting these flashcarts, that goes without saying. I wish they heard the community more, and acted about what customers want instead of only what they infer might be wanted.

The libnds rumble functions don't work with the OMEGA DE and thus DS homebrew games that use rumble don't rumble with the omega de. I think that the libnds rumble integration is half-hearted and this issue might be in parts because of this, but homebrew apps work with original rumbe paks.

okay cool, now that you're actually here

on ezflash parallel kernel, is it possible to auto boot the last run rom?

on other ds flashcarts with wood-based kernel, you can usually add autorunWithLastRom = 1 to the settings, but I'm told this didnt work on ezflash parallel

is the functionality there, or is the config option to do it different than on other cards?

Does EZ Flash Omega new kernel work with Analogue Pocket or it's better to continue with this?

I have lost my EZFlash Omega DE fast-forward/turbo/speedhack function described on the hotkeys page of their website, for GBA games like Golden Sun and Pokemon Fire Red.

Seems to have happened after Analogue Pocket v2.4 firmware update. That firmware didn't change or really improve anything except change the name of the OS, so I wish I hadn't upgraded.

I am on FW: 7 and K: 1.05 for my EZFlash Omega DE. The SAVE / LOAD / RESET menu still works but turbo/speedhack does not.

There was a cool Ai character animator tool I found online , can't remember name, but it would take any pic and create animated scenes for you, was expensive, I only tried the trial. I remember getting pissed cause trial would not let you save, just preview.

Can't you just do that with a video editor or open toonz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Maybe, but you have to create every frame/pic, walking right may have 8 frames/ pics, walking left 8 frames/pics etc. Takes forever.

@BigOnYa you can just use a plastic deform + keyframes. It's way easier than animating it by hand or paying 100 bucks
