I did look at some other topics but i haven't got a clue whats going on

I bought EZFIV 5 months ago to play on my GBM but ive been put off it after the first month because none of the games would save. Now i would like to resolve this issue

Everytime i try to save a game, the next time i load it up its gone
Games such as super mario world, i would save it in game turn it off, then start it again and the save file would still be there but then after i turn it off again its gone

Can someone tell me what to do please because im really stuck?

You used the client to patch your games correct? Also make sure the battery in the EzIV is charged, perhaps it doesn't have a charge anymore and the data in the sram isnt being held anymore.

Just keep the GBM on with the EZIV in it.
Also try reflashing the firmware to it.
Finally, repatch all your games with the EZIV client with [add saver patch] check box ticked.

If it still doesn't work then the battery might've been damaged so you might need to open it up to find out.

just make sure you are patching with the latest client software, and update to the latest firmware. works fine for everyone i know, so its definitely an issue with the card.

if it is patched properly, and the battery is still good, right when you turn it off then on after playing - it should say "waiting" while it writes to the save file on the SD card.

He mentioned games such as Super Mario World. Isn't this one of those games where the name is too long, and it need to be shortened?

I had this problem when I first got my EZIV too. The mario games wouldn't save after I soft reseted or turned the gameboy back on. So a few posts on the EZ Forums told me to shorten the title to eight characters or less, then it should save. And it worked just fine.

So try shortening the rom name to something like just "Mario". And it should save then.
