I'm trying to get EZ-Flash III GBA cart and EZPASS 3 slot-1 device to work with my DS Lite to run homebrew and commercial ROMs.

I get to the point of selecting a ROM to play on the DS Lite and no further. Here's the steps I'm following in the hope that somebody else has been down the same path and can help me out.

1. Run EZ3Check utility to empty the GBA cart.
2. Run EZ_Mode utility to confirm EZ3 not EZ1/EZ2.
3a. Run EZManager 2.22 utility to load new EZ OS (NDS) from default 256M bits EZ Flash Manager tab
3b. Click on NAND manager tab and say yes to format EZ-DISK with default settings (Capacity: 128M Bytes, File System: FAT16, Allocation unit size: 4096 Bytes) I get the good message rather than bad message as per EZFlashManual.pdf document.
4. Load the following ROMs:
4a. Flight from the dark (a .nds file) to 256M bits EZ Flash Manager tab (http://www.projectaon.org/staff/frederic/index.php)
4b. Powder (a .nds file and a .ds.gba file) to 256M bits EZ Flash Manager tab (http://www.zincland.com/powder/index.php?pagename=about)
4c. Professor_Layton_And_The_Curious_Village_USA_NDS-Micronauts (a .nds file) to NAND manager tab
5. Put the EZPASS 3 device into slot-1 of DS Lite and EZ-Flash III GBA cart into slot-2 and power on DS Lite.

At this point I get white screens top and bottom. Previously I've got to the point of choosing a game and then from memory it hangs.

Before trying to reproduce the steps that get me further can anybody see something obvious I'm doing wrong? If you are able to get one of these three or something else to work with this combination of kit I could try the same game.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Did you install the NDS Loader from the System menu in EZManager?
If your cart is the 4Gb version then EZManager 2.22 should be fine, otherwise use 2.08 to 2.20.

As ROM Troll mentions your loader needs to be there. The 256 section is not where it needs to be (the option to add it is under the system menu)

4. DS homebrew should be in the .ds.gba format. A guide is included in the EZ4 client stuff which I suggest you have so as to run your DS roms through it first (the EZ4 and EZ3 are similar enough that it helps).

EZ4 patch updates are available in the EZflash forum and get posted around here as well. Latest:
