Here is the test i have done with my EZVi [705] v14 under kernel 1.90OB11 and my EZ 3in1 version 1 (not the Plus version).
When the SRAM is good you should see that :

Hello MB Max, I uploaded a picture in the message (tested with R4, EZVi-1.90, DSTT ).... I hope you can help.

(GBATEMP)http://img16.imageshack.us/i/sdc10113nw.jpg/(GBATEMP)

These signs are displayed:

NorFlash id=0x
NorFlash err

Say that you have tried "EZ3in1" (256Mb) but remember that I use "EZ3in1Plus" (512Mb).

Help me, please.

OK. So cory1492 tool is not compatible with the ez 3in1 Plus and probably with the v2 also.
I will ask him if something can be done to modify his tool so you can test your ez 3in1 Plus SRAM.
To be continued ...

All this sounds good ... but so far that my cartridge is not working to save games, what the people want is a tool to "fix" the cartridge.

I am desperate.

Thanks. I don't really needed GBA Mode but it could be good to play 'old' games.

Is RAM and rumble will work properly without this chip?

And what's differences between v1 and v2?

I'll keep hoping something new on your side MB Max, do not forget me.

Please.
Cory1492 has updated his tool, thanks to him.

Gives a try to his v2 : sram_test2
As i told you, this tool will write/read data in the SRAM to see if the component is ok.
Tell me the result.

Hello, I just test the new patch (Sram Test2)
I get the following message on screen when running "write.nds"

Nor Flash id=0x89168916

start SRAM verify

verify Err: Add=0 , S=74 , D=a8

I tried again and again without getting good results ....
The same message appears when you run "verify.nds"

I tried to start a GBA game but I can not even save my progress (I've tested with R4 + GbaExp0.58b, EZ Vi-kernel1.90, DSTT + GbaExp0.58b and all I get the same message.

If it helps somewhat .... the last thing I remember is I used the "pocketnes.gba" and saved state in the "super mario bros 3 ".... since that day I had the problem I believe.
Using the same emulator (pocketnes.gba) with the EZ Flash IV "and I have no problem.

Please help .... Hopefully this will have a solution ... 'm waiting for some tool to reset the memory "SRAM" and leave it like new my "EZ3in1 Plus".

@Allen_s : Ok.
Sad news then. Your SRAM is defective according to the result you have.
If your EZ 3in1 Plus is under warranty, ask for a replacement to your dealer.

@sonic0509 : i will check that, but my first feeling is that it's the NOR memory component.

Oh no ..... That bad news ..!!!! warranty time is over ....
There is something you can do to fix it??? If the "NOR" memory can be formatted because the SRAM format? Anyway thanks for the answers ... if there is any possible solution at the hardware or software please let me know.

The "EZ 3in1" save some perfectly for 3 months.

How sad I am ...

@Allen_s : When a SRAM is defective (some adresses) there is no way to rebirth it.
BTW, i want to be sure that this v2 tool is ok on a healthy ez 3in1 Plus.
Hope someone will test it.

On my ez 3in1 v1 the test passed succesfully.

@all readers of this post : I wish to know if the tool is good but i don't have any ez 3in1 Plus here. Only a v1.

Is there anyone here with a healthy ez 3in1 Plus to test cory1492's tool ?
As explained in the readme.txt, this test read and write the SRAM fully to check for errors, so be sure to have backuped your gba saves on the microSD before give a try.

Ps : this tool doesn't work properly on EZ5 flashcart if it is run under k2.0 series. Must be run under k1.90OB11.
On other flashcart, it is DLDI compatible.

Hello, I just ask a friend to test the tool with an "EZ 3in1 Plus" ... told me to get the following message on screen:

Nor Flash id=0x227e2218

start SRAM verify

SRAM check done. Data written to SRAM

***Finished OK***

He uses R4 (firmware 1.18) + GbaExpLoader 0.58b

Oh no .... I just said to run "verify.nds" it appears:

Nor Flash id = 0x89168916

SRAM start verify

verify Err: Add = 0, S = 74, D = a8

Although its cartridge save part perfectly .... but hey, that's what it appears.

Well, I guess it's over ..... if there is any miracle solution please tell me ...
