Extracting GBA save file?

    Hello Everybody,

    Is there anyway to extract the savefile within the NDStation's save file? Unsure on the whole dynamics of this.

    Post a save file (or a few if you have them) and I'll have a look. You should be able to just remove the unused data to get a raw save, but I'm not sure exactly where the actual save data starts in the file.

    Here it is (sorry for it being Megaupload T_T). Its the only save file I've got of it. Its from Final Fantasy VI Advance.

    That's a blank file. There's no data in it at all.

    Must have corrupted it as NDStation is broken with the later R4 updates. Found another save here from the game FF VI. I opened it with a hex editor there seems to be data in there. Don't wanna try it editing it myself incase I screw it up.

    Use Rudolph's GBA Backup Tool instead.

    Same deal. The file is full of nothing but 0xFF, which is exactly the same as a blank save from an R4.

    Okay so obviously the save isn't in the save file. Well thats nice to know T_T

    Try extracting the NDSStation compilation with ndstool. I think it uses EFS_lib.

    Why? NDStation writes the save data to the save file that the slot 1 cart creates for the compilation, not the compilation itself.
