Extracting Audio/Music from Wii Games, is it possible? How?

    Was wondering if its possible to extract audio/music from Wii Games. I know that the Wii iso can be viewed/extracted using Trucha tool, but when looking in the Audio folder there are files with .data, .dict and .nxlwb files. If these are the audio files then what can be done to convert them to mp3?

    I can tell you it's possible, at least if all games use the same audio codecs, as the SS:BB soundtrack on most torrent sites is a game rip. However, I don't know more than that.

    Winamp + in_cube.dll

    Then, you change the setting so winamp outputs the files to .wav files. Then, you use LAME encoder to make them MP3s.

    Thanks for the quick replies. So would the steps be :

    1) Open Wii ISO in Trucha
    2) Extract Audio files - How does one determine which files are Audio/music files? What would be the extention of the files?
    3) Start Winamp
    4) Install plugin if not already done so
    5) Export audio to .wav file
    6) Use tool to convert .wav to .mp3

    Just need more info for step 2.

    Excuse me if bumping older topics is against the rules, if I have done so, please ignore this topic until a moderator or administrator is to take care of it. Anyway, I'm looking through these instructions and they seem rather vague. I was planning on ripping the audio from NSMB, but I really can't seem to figure out how through these instructions. The audio is .brstm, the same as Brawl IIRC, so there shouldn't be a problem actually ripping it as far as I know.

    Perhaps my question was a big vague. I was able to get the .brstm to be recognized as an audio file, and was able to convert it, but the output is all 0:00:00 second audio files with very odd sounds like paper ripping or marbles falling down onto a wooden floor. How can I fix this or is this unknown?

    If it makes any difference, the source ISO is a Scrubbed NSMBWii PAL ISO that's been patched. It plays just fine on my system after the NTSC forcing, both video and audio, don't see why it'd fail to cooperate if all is good there.
