    Hello

I've softmoded my virgin black wii (4.2e) sucessuly. Firstly i was using a mp4 player formated wsbs, usbloader gx was working very well with all games tested. Now i bought a external box and placed in a 40GB seagate hdd but usb loader can't seem to find any device. Btw, this box as a card reader also and when connected to a pc shows like 5 removable devices (the card readers) and hdd drive shows as a normal hdd, not a removable device. Any suggestion how can i make usb loader to find my drive?

I tried usb loader gx and cfg usb loader with 249 and 222 ios with no success.

    You're all outa luck mate.

There is no way you can get it to work with any existing cios.

Your drive obviously has an integrated hub to hook up multiple devices (drive, sd reader, etc).
As stated all over this place both cios flavours do not support usb hubs.

Maybe a cios with hub support will be developed but I wouldn't bet a dime.

Cios use different drivers for the two ports.
lower port: homebrew usb2 with only mass storage support (no hub, no mic, ...) for usb loading.
upper port: normal ninty usb1.1 for usb based perephials.
While this one does indeed can support hubs, it wont do you any good since it is not used for the hdd.
Would be to slow to be of any use.
Things might change once people tinker with ios58.
It has the first ninty usb2 module.
Maybe its possible to use it instead of the homebrew one.
