Hello tempers, I have some questions about this accessory of the PSP.

So.... How does it work? It can stream mp3s and videos but can we use it to play ISOs directly from it?

What brands or names should i look for if i want one? Thanks!

IIRC the storage was for only 4gb, ate up alot of battery life, and added considerable bulk and weight to the psp so there's no point in them. Just get a larger Memory stick.

Hmm, relating to this, is there software that allows you to use your computer HDD as a "memory stick" for the PSP? Like connect PSP via USB and your Memory Stick option will actually be your hard drive?

Probably not but just wondering XD

I believe iRshell is your answer.

Does it work on 3.95 GEN-2?

Gotta wait for the patch. Just check irshell forum for update.

So far it works on 3.90 m33-3.

I don't recommend iRShell if you own a slim. There are better alternatives.

Try the PSP USB ISO loader by PSPPadawan

http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=98847

Cpasjuste's old CFE versions supported USB and WiFi ISO loading, but 2.1 and later do not.

Cpasjuste wrote a new shell app (not CFE) that was entered in some contest at www.psp-hacks.com. I think he also included the USB and WiFi ISO loader.

so.... there are 40gb hdd that can run ISOs directly using the homebrew you mentioned?

No. The PSP's USB port is not capable of hosting. Meaning: You can't connect an external HDD directly to the PSP and run ISO's off it.

Edit: Ok... That's not entirely true. But for your purpose, it is. It is insanely complicated to add a HD, and it involves coding and hardware design.
